Terms & Conditions

Please Read Carefully By engaging Techford Solutions for services, or by using our website, you agree to be bound by these Terms & Conditions. If you do not agree, please do not use our services or website. These terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you and Techford Solutions.

01 Acceptance of Terms

These Terms & Conditions ("Terms") govern your use of the Techford Solutions website at https://techfordsolutions.com ("Website") and the professional services we provide ("Services"). These Terms apply to all visitors, enquirers, and clients.

By accessing our Website, submitting an enquiry, or signing a project proposal or invoice, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms, together with our Privacy Policy.

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Singapore.

02 Our Services

Techford Solutions provides the following professional digital services:

  • Website design and development (including WordPress, Elementor, WooCommerce, and custom builds)
  • E-commerce website development
  • Website maintenance and support
  • Search Engine Optimisation (SEO)
  • Digital marketing services (including Google Ads, Meta Ads, content marketing)
  • Website redesign and migration
  • Copywriting and content creation
  • Other digital and technical services as agreed in writing

The specific scope of services for each engagement is defined in a written proposal, quotation, or service agreement provided to the client before work commences.

03 Quotations & Proposals

All quotations and proposals provided by Techford Solutions are:

  • Valid for 14 calendar days from the date of issue, unless otherwise stated
  • Based on the information and requirements provided by the client at the time of quoting
  • Subject to revision if the project scope materially changes after acceptance
  • Exclusive of Goods and Services Tax (GST) where applicable

A project commences only upon the client's written acceptance of a proposal AND receipt of the agreed deposit payment. Verbal agreements do not constitute project commencement.

04 Payment Terms

Standard Payment Schedule

Unless otherwise agreed in writing, Techford Solutions uses the following payment structure for website projects:

Deposit
Due upon project acceptance, before work commences
25%
Mid-Project
Due upon completion of design mockups / staging site
25%
Final Payment
Due before website launch / final file delivery

For ongoing services (SEO retainers, digital marketing, maintenance), payment is due monthly in advance unless otherwise specified in the service agreement.

Payment Methods

We accept the following payment methods: PayNow (preferred), bank transfer to our designated Singapore bank account, and other methods as agreed. Payment details will be provided on each invoice.

Late Payment

Invoices are due within 7 days of the invoice date unless otherwise agreed. For overdue invoices:

  • We reserve the right to pause or suspend work until payment is received
  • Interest may be charged on overdue amounts at 1.5% per month
  • We reserve the right to withhold delivery of completed files, website access, or login credentials until all outstanding amounts are paid in full

Refund Policy

Deposits are non-refundable once work has commenced, as they represent compensation for time and resources allocated to your project. If a project is cancelled by the client after commencement, payment will be due for all work completed to date, which may exceed the deposit amount. Refunds for unused retainer periods may be considered on a case-by-case basis.

05 Project Process & Timelines

Techford Solutions will provide an estimated project timeline upon commencement. All timelines are estimates based on the agreed scope and are subject to:

  • Timely provision of required content, materials, and feedback by the client
  • The agreed number of revision rounds being adhered to
  • No material changes to the project scope after commencement

Techford Solutions is not liable for delays caused by the client's failure to provide materials, content, approvals, or feedback in a timely manner. Significant delays caused by the client may result in revised timelines and, in some cases, additional charges to resume a paused project.

Project Abandonment

If a project is inactive for more than 60 days due to non-responsiveness from the client, Techford Solutions reserves the right to close the project and retain all payments received to date as compensation for work completed and resources reserved.

06 Client Responsibilities

The client agrees to:

  • Provide all required content (text, images, logos, brand assets) in a timely manner and in the agreed formats
  • Ensure all content provided is owned by the client or that the client has the legal right to use it
  • Provide accurate and complete information about their business, requirements, and target audience
  • Review and provide feedback on deliverables within the agreed timeframe (typically 5โ€“7 business days unless otherwise agreed)
  • Designate a single point of contact with authority to approve decisions on behalf of the client's organisation
  • Promptly notify Techford Solutions of any changes to requirements

The client takes full responsibility for the accuracy and legality of all content provided to Techford Solutions for inclusion in their website or marketing materials.

07 Intellectual Property

Ownership Transfer

Upon receipt of full and final payment, Techford Solutions assigns to the client full ownership of the custom design and code created specifically for the client's project, including website layouts, graphics, and custom functionality.

Third-Party Components

Websites often incorporate third-party components including WordPress themes, plugins, stock imagery, icon libraries, and fonts. These components remain subject to their respective third-party licences and are not transferred to the client as proprietary assets. The client is responsible for maintaining any required licences after project handover.

Techford Solutions Portfolio Rights

Unless the client requests otherwise in writing, Techford Solutions reserves the right to display completed work in our portfolio, website, and marketing materials. We will never disclose confidential business information as part of such display.

Pre-Existing IP

Any tools, frameworks, methodologies, templates, or codebases developed by Techford Solutions prior to or independently of a client engagement remain the exclusive property of Techford Solutions. We may incorporate these into client projects, but they are not transferred to the client.

08 Revisions & Scope Changes

Each project proposal specifies the number of included revision rounds. A "revision" constitutes minor amendments to approved work โ€” such as text changes, colour adjustments, or small layout tweaks.

The following are not considered revisions and will be quoted separately:

  • Redesigning a section or page that was previously approved
  • Adding new pages, features, or functionality not in the original scope
  • Changes to the fundamental direction, structure, or purpose of the project
  • Requests that require rebuilding previously completed work

Any changes to scope will be discussed, agreed, and documented in a written Change Order before additional work commences. Additional work is billed at our standard hourly rate of SGD $100โ€“$150 per hour, or as a fixed add-on as quoted.

Our Commitment We understand scope can evolve. We'll always communicate clearly when a request falls outside the original scope and provide a fair quote before proceeding. We never surprise clients with unexpected charges.

09 Third-Party Services & Tools

Techford Solutions may recommend or integrate third-party tools and services into your project, such as domain registrars, hosting providers, payment gateways, email marketing platforms, analytics tools, and CRM software.

  • Third-party services are subject to their own Terms of Service and pricing
  • Techford Solutions is not responsible for changes, outages, or pricing increases by third-party providers
  • Where possible, accounts for essential services (domain, hosting, Google Analytics) will be registered in the client's name
  • Techford Solutions is not liable for data loss, security breaches, or service disruptions originating from third-party platforms

10 Confidentiality

Both parties agree to keep confidential any sensitive business information shared during the course of the engagement, including but not limited to business strategies, pricing information, unreleased products, and client data.

Techford Solutions will not disclose client confidential information to third parties except as required to deliver the agreed services or as required by law.

This confidentiality obligation survives the termination of any project engagement.

11 Warranties & Disclaimers

Our Warranties

Techford Solutions warrants that:

  • Services will be performed with reasonable care and skill
  • Completed websites will function as agreed and described in the project proposal at the time of delivery
  • We hold the rights to any original work we create for clients

Disclaimers

Techford Solutions does not warrant:

  • Specific search engine rankings or positions โ€” SEO results depend on many external factors outside our control, including Google's algorithm changes
  • Specific levels of website traffic, leads, or sales โ€” digital marketing performance depends on market conditions, competition, and client-side factors
  • That websites will be free from all bugs indefinitely after delivery โ€” we offer post-launch support packages for ongoing maintenance
  • Compatibility with all browsers, devices, or screen sizes beyond the agreed testing scope
  • The accuracy of any content or information provided by the client

12 Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law:

  • Techford Solutions' total liability to any client shall not exceed the total fees paid by that client for the specific service in question during the 12 months preceding the claim
  • Techford Solutions is not liable for any indirect, consequential, incidental, or special damages, including loss of profits, loss of data, loss of goodwill, or business interruption
  • Techford Solutions is not liable for any damages arising from the client's own content, actions, or decisions made based on our recommendations

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or any other liability that cannot be excluded under Singapore law.

13 Termination

Termination by Client

The client may terminate a project engagement at any time by providing written notice. Upon termination:

  • The client is liable for payment of all work completed up to the termination date
  • The deposit is non-refundable
  • Completed deliverables will be provided to the client upon receipt of all outstanding payments

Termination by Techford Solutions

Techford Solutions reserves the right to terminate an engagement with written notice if:

  • The client fails to make payment within 14 days of the due date
  • The client acts in a way that is abusive, threatening, or harassing toward our team
  • The client requests work that violates applicable laws, infringes third-party rights, or breaches our ethical standards
  • Continued performance has become commercially or practically untenable

Upon termination by Techford Solutions due to client fault, all payments received are retained and any outstanding balances for completed work remain due.

Termination of Ongoing Services

Monthly retainer services (SEO, digital marketing, maintenance) may be terminated by either party with 30 days' written notice. No refunds will be given for the current month's fees.

14 Governing Law & Dispute Resolution

These Terms and any disputes arising from them are governed exclusively by the laws of the Republic of Singapore.

In the event of a dispute, the parties agree to first attempt resolution through good-faith negotiation. If unresolved within 30 days, disputes shall be referred to mediation at the Singapore Mediation Centre before litigation. The courts of Singapore shall have exclusive jurisdiction over any legal proceedings.

15 Changes to These Terms

Techford Solutions reserves the right to update these Terms & Conditions at any time. Updated terms will be published on this page with the effective date revised. Your continued use of our website or services after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.

For ongoing client engagements, material changes to applicable terms will be communicated in writing with 30 days' notice.
